Poul Kjærholm first had any of his work produced when had went into partnership with Ejvind Kold Christensen in 1955. This partnership became extremely productive and Poul Kjærholm stayed with the company until the time of his death in 1980. E. Kold Christensen decided to keep his & Poul Kjaerholm furniture designs going by allowing Fritz Hansen to take over the sales and production of these designs.
