Poul Henningsen is most commonly known for creating the Artichoke Pendant. Poul Henningsen, or PH as he is normally known, designed the PH lamp in 1955 and was called the Artichoke due to its similarity. The actual light source of the PH lamp can not be seen directly due to the way in which it has been designed, most of the light is reflected from the leaves which make up the shade.
