Piet Hein was a direct descendant of the Dutch naval hero of the same name. Piet Hein was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and studied at the Institute for Theoretical Physics. He created all kinds of tableware, lighting, furniture & even puzzle games with his mathematical knowledge. He also created the super ellipse table form a theory on the conflicts of building shapes. This table is half way between a rectangle & a circle.
