Many of Denmarks top furniture designers attended Copenhagen's School of Arts and Crafts, including Poul Kjærholm. He was well known for creating furniture that consisted of a steel frame then covered with natural materials such as leather, canvas, wood & rope. Poul Kjærholm was born in 1929 and died in 1980 at 51years of age. He spent the majority of his working life with top furniture designer Ejvind Kold Christensen with their joint business venture.
